IMPORTANT HIGHLIGHTS
Pre-Insurance Medical ScreeningThis policy doesn’t require pre-insurance medical screening. However, those who are above 65 years of age and those who have adverse medical history are required to submit ECG, fasting & postprandial blood sugar test, cholesterol profile and urine strip test plan report. |
Entry AgeAny person residing in India aged between 6 months and 70 years traveling outside India on holiday or business trip can avail this policy. |
Plan OptionsThis policy provides cover for worldwide travel including USA and Canada. |
Trip BandThis policy provides cover under two trip band options – 30 days and 45 days band. |
Emergency Medical EvacuationThis policy provides cover for emergency medical evacuation of the insured person on the advice of the medical practitioner. It also covers associated transportation and medical treatment expenses. |
Cover for Trip ExtensionIf the insured person is travelling outside India on the last day of the policy, then the policy will automatically extend until the completion of the trip or the insured person’s return to India within the band of 30 or 45 days from the policy’s expiry date. |
Dental Emergency CoverThis policy provides cover for expenses incurred on acute anesthetic treatment to treat dental problems arising out of injury during the trip up to the limits mentioned in the policy clause. |
Cover for Travel InconveniencesThis policy covers the loss incurred due to Travel inconveniences such as Flight Delay, Trip Cancellation, Loss of Passport, Loss or Delay of Checked-in Baggage, Missed Flight/Connection and Hijack Distress. |
Loss of PassportIf an insured person loses his/her passport during the trip, then the company will cover the expenses incurred in obtaining a new passport or valid travel documents to return to the home country. |
Hijack DistressIf the common carrier in which the insured person is travelling is hijacked and the trip gets interrupted or disrupted for more than 12 hours, then the company will pay the Indian rupees equivalent for each day of delay as per the specified limits. |
Delay of Checked-In BaggageIf the checked-in baggage of the insured person is getting delayed for more than 12 hours during the trip, then the company will pay the compensation for the delay up to the limits mentioned in the policy schedule. |
Cover for the Loss of Checked-In BaggageIf the checked-in baggage (property of the insured person) gets lost by an Airline or Carrier, then the Company will indemnify the loss incurred by the insured person up to the limits mentioned in the policy schedule. |
Flight DelayIf the insured person’s flight gets delayed for more than six hours, then the company will indemnify the expenses incurred for additional accommodation, travel and other reasonable expenses up to the specified limits. |
Trip Cancellation/InterruptionIf the insured person’s trip gets canceled due to accidental bodily injuries or death either of the insured person or his/her family member, then the company will indemnify the insured or his/her legal representatives up to the specified amount. |
Missed Departure/ConnectionIf the insured person misses the pre-booked departure or connection flight due to the specified reasons, then the company will indemnify the expenses incurred on reasonable additional accommodation and travel. |
Personal Liability CoverIf the insured person is either legally liable for illness/injury (fatal or non-fatal) to any person, or damage to property during the period of insurance, then the Insurance Company will indemnify the insured person against all sums which he/she becomes legally liable to pay. |
Personal Accident CoverIn case of death or disablement of the insured person due to accident, then the company will provide a lump sum to the insured person or his/her legal representatives up to the specified limits. |
Transportation of Mortal RemainsIn case of the death of the insured person abroad, this policy covers the transportation of mortal remains of the insured person or compensates the equivalent amount for a local burial or cremation in the country where the death occurred. |
Cover for Substitute EmployeeIn case the insured employee falls sick or injured, this policy provides cover for any travel expenses incurred in sending one substitute employee in place of the insured person. |
DeductiblesThis policy is subject to deductibles. It means the amount up to which the company will not be liable to pay for each and every claim. |
